Hot weather challenges Eagles at Scottburgh

The next game will be held at the Umdoni course in March.

Scottburgh Golf Club is an undulating golf course that has a most attractive setting with the sights and sounds of the Indian Ocean in the background.

This course is comparatively short and has five par 3 holes giving our closest to the pin prizes more opportunity. We had 56 players in attendance on a very hot but beautiful morning. The golf course was in very good condition, thank you to all for the effort made. The weather showed us what heat is about and made the day even more challenging.

The longest day winners: Brian Kidd, Les Vince, Bryony Rogers and Steve de Klerk.

Best lady was Stella Scott on 39 individual points and Billy Smith took the men’s prize on 40 points. The winners on the day were Robert Symons, Ivan Malan, Trevor Bell and Fred van Prooijen on an alliance score of 93 points. The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy was Les Vince, Bryony Rogers, Steve de Klerk and Brian Kidd on 74 points. The results were calculated by Stella Scott, Sarel Swart, Nigel Henson and Glenn Scott, thank you for the effort.

Best man and lady Billy Smith and Stella Scott.

Jeremy Boyd presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master today and this was once again well supported.
Our next game will be held at Umdoni on Tuesday, March 7 – see you all there.
