Retired brigadier back on the podium
The Pro Vision series is up and running for the year.
Pro Vision Golf and Social Club held their first Monthly Mug/League golf game for the year at Port Shepstone Country Club recently.
Braving the hot summer’s day, 42 of the 80 members took part in the tournament sponsored by Jess Verster and the Port Shepstone Pro Shop.
Retired Brigadier Morris Moodley, who made a return to golf after an absence of some years, won on 37 points, counting out Preggy Kandasamy.
New member Ian Stewart claimed third place on 35 points.
Completing the top five were Abel Yeeranna on 34 points and Leon Govender on 33 points, counting out Preggy Perumal and Fabian Makhanya.
Best gross was shared by Bulelani Ngilande and Thulani Xolo, on 79.
Best nett of 71 was shared by Morris Moodley and Preggy Kandasamy.
Nearest to the pins: 5th – Bulelani Ngilande, 8th – Arav Maharaj, 14th – Bupen Prakash, 17th – Maqoba Nqoko.
Closest for two: 4th – Preggy Kandasamy.
None of the players claimed the closest to the pin for three on the 13 hole.
