The Twilight bowls, with an Italian theme, was held last Friday. It included a a delicious meal of lasagna, plus soothing Italian music.
Winners were Ken Tonge, Jeanne Gregori and Johan du Preez. Runners-up were Peter Mundl, André Lourens and Greg Bosch. Lucky draw was won by Carol Scott.
Before that, the Hibiscus Brokers Women’s 3-bowl Trips was held, and won by Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Winnie Hess.
Runners-up were Pauline Dunlop, Marilyn Francis and Anthea Bratley.
Second session went to Pat Brand-Lyle, Shelley Backhouse and Pauline Isaac.
Lucky Draw was won by Juanita Fourie.
The clubs invites anyone interested in playing, or wishing to learn to play bowls, to join on a Sunday morning for social bowls.
Starting time is 08:30 for 09:00. Dress code is casual, the only requirement is that you wear flat-soled shoes. Everyone is most welcome.
THE BELL
Winners of the 3rd Avenue Restaurant open trips played last Tuesday were Keiron Dacey, Maureen Head and Steve O’Moore.
Second were Rynier van Tonder, Hans van der Walt and George Watson, followed by Tammy Gibbons, Arthur Lopes and Frik Janse van Rensburg.
Well done to Johannie Theron and her team for getting through to the KBA ladies trips semi-finals. Play well next Sunday.
All visitors welcome to come and join regulars for a game. Tabs in Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
TWENI
The Harbourview Superspar mixed pairs bowls last Monday was won by Dumisani Madlala and Trudy Rush.
Runners-up were Tammy Gibbons and Gary Vogt, with session going to Mike and Ruth Findlay.
