Nationals trump visitors at Southbroom GC
There has been a lot of fun and festivity at the club.
The previous Wednesday’s competition was won on 80 points by Norman Farrell, Roger Hissey, Rob Meydell and Casper (ghost). They counted out Gjertrud Kok, Alexandre Huber, Ursula Spoerri and Derek James who in turn counted out Marius Santos, Bob Thomas, Christer Solgevik and Neill Crossey.
The hugely popular ladies Internationals vs Nationals took place at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday, won 364-347 by the Nationals.
Best pair on the day were Gjertrud Kok and Augustine D’Ewes on 38 points, by one from Michelle van der Hoek and Shirley Jeffery, as well as Rene Matthew and Sue Kupisiewicz. On 36 points were Jo Ledden and Di Dimambro.
In the usual men’s comp the winners were Kevin Feinberg and Sbu Ntozakhe on 46 points, followed by Jack van den Eijkel and Joseph Stoellinger on 45 points who counted out Uli Matzinger and Hans (surname not known). On 44 points were Det Wichmann and Bob Rodwell, with Rob Meydell and Peter Kupisiewicz next on 43 points.
