Warriors remain unbeaten

The junior teams did not have things all their own way.

South Coast Warriors firsts maintained their unbeaten run in the First Division South rugby league this season.
They took on Hillcrest at Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground last Saturday and beat them 29-11, in the process securing a bonus point win.

The seconds won by a similar margin, 28-12, also against Hillcrest and also with a bonus point secured.
Second team points were scored by outside centre Andy Myosana, who picked up a hat-trick, as well as one by fly-half Chase Britz.

Three conversions were slotted by fullback Jeandré Michau and one conversion by Matt Louw.
First team tries were dotted down by fullback Tiamo Mjali, inside centre Donovan Horne, left wing Tiaan van Staden and utility back Keketsu Mfolozi.

Three conversions and one penalty were kicked by fly-half Jaques Petzer-Moore.

The next day, the U11s beat Mighty Elephants (grey) 10-0 in a hard-fought battle on King’s Park 10 field.
Tries were scored by inside centre Ryan Pronk in the first half, and scrumhalf Jaydon Koekemoer towards the end of the second half.

The U9s won one and lost one, while the U7s lost both.
Colts rugby training has started, taking place at the club on Wednesday and Friday evenings, from 17:30.

Ruan Smit receives the ball from scrumhalf Jaydon Koekemoer.
