RIVERSIDE
The Riverside Invitational Fours, a very successful national bowls tournament, was held at Riverside on the weekend of June 16 and 17, with teams from as far as Benoni, Pretoria, North Coast and Durban making the journey to Uvongo for this prestigious tournament.
Protea players Wayne Rittmuller and Wayne Robertson were invited and skipped their own teams in a highly skilled display of world-class bowls.
Eventual winners were the local team of Shane Nienaber, Bruce Millar, Sydney Labuschagne and Eamon McNulty.
They beat Wayne Rittmuller, Jason Butterfield, Jason Lott and Chris Strover 17-8.
In other competitions, the Food Lover’s Market drawn trips saw 36 bowlers compete for the popular Food Lover’s vouchers.
Winners were Graham Dunlop, St John Roodt and Geanne Mitchell.
Runners-up were Pat Malgaue, Buth Bruce and Ferro van Greunen.

KINGFISHER BA
The finals of the KBA mixed fours were played last Sunday. Well done to the winners and runners-up.
In first place were Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo, Tim Woolley and Dillion Schoeman (Riverside).
Runners-up were Terrance McGlynn, Ron Weddell, Beth Trusler and Sandra Schoeman (Riverside).
Tied for third were Brandon Nicholas, Ann Swanepoel, Clinton Knott and Marian Knott (The Bell) and Markus Steinmann, Wilma Steinmann, Pauline Dunlop, and Phillip Pretorius (Riverside).

SOUTHBROOM
Winning the Tiago’s men’s trips were Glenn Hatfield, Vernon Clements and Harry Devenish.
Runners-up were Glyn Evans, Osie Osborne and Declan Sparks.
First session went to Brian Douthwaite, Manny Rodrigues and Bill Eccles and the second to Tiens Zietsmann, Trevor Prinsloo and Theo Vorster.

PORT EDWARD
The Debonairs Pro 10 Trips was won by Anthony Card, Tony Going and Priscilla Going.
Runners-up were Kevin Button, Johan Visser and Edith Button.
Session winners were Mike Gower, Anne Wells and Derek Wicks.

MARGATE BC
The Food Lover’s Market sponsored open 2-4-2 competition was won by Trevor Prinsloo and Ron Vink.
Runners-up were Wayne Naude and Ferro van Greunen. Second session prize went to Ken Tonge and Yvonne Bausek.
Lucky draw was won by Lenie Geyer.

THE BELL
Well done to Brandon Nicholas, Ann Swanepoel and Clinton and Marian Knott for getting joint bronze yesterday in the KBA mixed fours.
Winners of the the 2-4-2, sponsored by Food Lover’s Market were Hew Hodgson and Mada Lindeque.
Runners-up were Keiron Dacey and Ermi Joubert, session went to Di de Wet and Mike van der Merwe.

TWENI
The Oribi Wimpy ladies competition was won by Annette Suther and Gerda Clark, from Tammy Gibbons and Rienie Blignault.
Session went to Monica Middlewick and Jill von Brandis.
The Harbourview Superspar mixed pairs were won by Artur Lopes and Tammy Gibbons.
Second were Dumisani Madlala and Trudy Rush.
Session to Tony Aveyard and Amanda Taylor.
