Fowl Friday returns to Sheppie
The course is looking good, despite the recent rain and cold weather.
Fowl Friday proved to be a hit at Port Shepstone Country Club last week, with golfers making birdies to win chicken.
In the end, Bruce Holmes was best in, with 17 points, counting out Stephan Meyer, with club captain Bevis Fairbrother in third place on 16 points.
Fowl Friday makes way for the Halfway Ford business day this week, but then returns every Friday after 14:00.
Six chickens are up for grabs, thanks to sponsor Hibiscus Coast Electrical (Jarrod van Wyk).
Fanie Terblanche won the competition last Wednesday on 43 points. Daan Swanepoel was second on 37 points, counting out Mark Smith.
Saturday saw the Frogfoot betterball Stableford take place, won by Daan Swanepoel and Riaan Ahrens on 47 points.
They counted out George Bowie and pivot, with Bruce Holmes and Craig Lindsay in third place on 45 points.
The bar was very festive afterwards as golfers, family and friends watched the Springboks beat the Wallabies in the opening game of a truncated Rugby Championships.
Coming up: Sunday, July 16 – Wozani Par 3.
