No time to feel blue for Wobblers

The Wobblers never fail to have a good time.

The weekly Wobblers game at Margate Country Club was won on 97 points by Dave Hepworth, Hans Beilhartz and Marcus Donovan.

Runners-up on 86 points were Dave Boyd, Nico van Vuuren and Danie Brummer, counting out Wayne Minnaar, Hans Dallinger and Bob Weanie.

Nico van Vuuren had the only two-club of the day, at the 16th.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Frank Merrill, Alan Davies and Brian Jefferys on 76 points.

The 100 Club went to Robin Shuttleworth on 38 points, by one from Poen Olivier on 37 points.

Thursday’s individual Stableford was won by Sandi Johnston on 39 points, by three from Flip Fourie on 36 points.
Nearest the pins were Joe Espach (4th) and Flip Fourie (16th).

The business day alliance last Friday was won on 96 points by Barry Oehme, Bobby Wagner, Peter McCarthy and Donald Moir.

Runners-up on 92 points were Piet Fourie, Jaco van der Walt, Johan Neethling and JP Fourie.
Two-clubs were carded by Elvis Khawula (16th) and Johan Human (2nd).
Nearest the pins were Abel Yeerama (11th) and Poen Olivier (8th).

The club meat competition was won on 39 points by Thys Bothma, with John Ford next on 37 points.
Greg Eayrs was nearest the pin on the 4th and knocked the putt in for a two-club. Derek Egerton was nearest on the 11th.
The ladies’ betterball last Tuesday was won by Suzette Olivier and Veni Deley on 45 points.
In second place on 41 points were Wondra Bothma and Lesley Erasmus.
Third place went to Renet van Biljon and Grace Fourie on 39 points, counting out Lizzy Meyer and Hannetjie Pretorius.
