Margate to host SKZN Open

Format is 36 holes strokeplay.

Margate Country Club will host the SKZN Open golf championships on Sunday, November 12. Cost to enter is R350.
Format is 36 holes strokeplay, A and B divisions. Carts permitted for B divisions. For more info, contact 083 7096912.

The Club Meat competition last Thursday was won by Johan Stolz on 38 points, by one from Angus McLachlan.
Nearest the pins were Kim Howden (2nd) and Bill Sargeant (16th).
Two-clubs: Angus McLauchlan (4), Johan Stoltz (4), Chris Nel (11).

The Meat competition last Saturday was won by Rob Weyer on 38 points, by two from Barry Oehme.
Nearest the pins were Barry Oehme (2nd) and George Nagel (16th).
Two-clubs: Harold Olkers (16th) and Arthur Ehlert (4th).

In the ladies’ section, winners of the Scramble Drive Alliance last Saturday were Sandy Johnston, Anika Mulder, Connie McArthur and Wilna Olkers on 115 points.
Nearest the pins were Dawn Howden (8th) and Lizzie Meyer (16th).
Two-club: Lara Baldrey.

The Wobblers’ game last Wednesday was won by Nico van Vuuren, Dave Boyd and Freddie Boshoff on 83 points.
Runners-up were Marcus Donovan, Thys Bothma and Wayne Minnaar on 82 points.
In third place on 80 points were Frank Merrill, Johan Human and Hans Beilhartz.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Dave Boyd, Nico van Vuuren and Hans Dallinger on 74 points.
Nearest the pin was Bob Weanie (2nd).
