George aces 2nd at Margate

The club has had a vastly improved season, despite a lot of rain.

Margate Country Club enjoyed a very busy December, one that was good for the club.
George Nagel had the highlight of the week, a hole-in-one on the 2nd hole during the Club Meat competition last Saturday.

The 100-Club on January 2 was won by Chippy Louw on 41 points, with Eddy Roux a distant second on 36 points.
The Business Day last Friday was won on 87 points by Blake Taylor, Gerrit Louw, Richard Eggleton and Kevin Oxenham.

One point behind were Piet Fourie, Coetzee, Jaco van der Wal and Johan Neethling on 86 points.
Two clubs were recorded by Piet Fourie (8th), Eddy Roux (4th), Des Potts (4th), Renet van Biljon (4th), Craig Rademan (8th), Sandy Johnston (16th), Thys Bothma (11th) and Richard Egerton (2nd).

The Club Meat competition the next day was won on 46 points by Angus McLachlan and Kevin Oxenham.
Runners-up were Harold and Wilna Olkers on 43 points.
Anika Mulder was nearest the pin on the 11th.

The Wobblers game last Wednesday was won by Bob Weanie, Alan Botha and Brian Jefferys on 75 points, on a countout from Dave Morrison and friends.
In third place were Eddie Gomersall, Marcus Donovan and Frank Merrill on 70 points.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Hans Beilhartz, Dave Hepworth and Bob Weanie on 65 points.
André Henn had the only two-club of the day, on the 4th.
Nearest the pin on the 8th was Johan Human.
