
Southbroom Golf Club is looking forward to hosting the annual International Shootout which takes place this Friday and Saturday.
This will be followed not long after by the annual club championships on March 2 and 3.
The weekend after that the club will host the KZN Country Districts Interzone tournament.
The ladies’ Progressive Alliance last Wednesday was won on 78 points by Louise Leal, Solange Fox and Judy Rodwell.
They counted out Irene Schanda, Esther Aldek and Jo Ledden on 78 points.
In the men’s competition, winners were Bruce Matthew, Don Osbourn, Peter and Ross Kupisiewicz, on 86 points.
Runners-up were Malcolm Greenland, Gary Purtell, Keith Bailey and Joseph Stoellinger, being counted out.
The Nashua Oasis business day last Friday was won on 103 points by Jaco van der Wal, Piet Fourie, George Nagel and Johan Neethling.
In second place on 100 points were Bev Riemer, Irene Schanda, Shirley Jeffery and Allyson Thomas.
Third spot went to Schalk Oosthuizen, Ed Roux, Poen Olivier and Johan Erasmus on 99 points.
In fourth place, one behind, were Gary Smith, Daniel Monney, Ursula and Heiner Spoerri.
The Saturday competition was won by Gary Purtell, Erik van der Spuy, Gavin Sole and Nicky Smith on 87 points.
In second place were Johan Wentzel, Brian Jolliffe and Anton Kohrmann on 86 points.
In third spot were Jack Moulder, Russell Mackenzie, Nic Dreyer and Gurney Mathews on 83 points, counting out Chris Ledden, Bob O’Callaghan, Alex and Ken Crawford.
