Mixed bag for Warriors

It's fair to say the firsts are in a rebuilding phase of sorts.

It was another tough weekend, this time away, for the South Coast Warriors first team, with a 29-10 defeat to arch-rivals Kokstad.

There was some cheer earlier on, though, with the seconds running out 39-10 winners.

Other than that, it’s back to the drawing board as the team, which has lost a number of top players, continues to rebuild.

Damon van Wyk Willemse carries strongly for the Warriors U7s.

Mini rugby is still going well, with turnout excellent and spirit even better.

Practices for the Colts now take place on Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:30.

Tiaan van Staden gives it his all for the Warriors first team.

There is also an invitation to girls aged 15 to 18 who would like to try out for the KZN Duikers team.

Trials will be held at King’s Park on June 16. For more info, contact Rudi Havenga on 082 7599899.

The second team won again, this time beating Kokstad 39-10.
