Scottburgh’s Tyne Van Achterbergh is gearing up for the Lifesaving World Championships in Australia.
The youngster will be flying out today (22nd) accompanied by his dad and coach Mark.
He will represent the South African Junior Surf Lifesaving team and the Scottburgh Lifesaving Club.
The opening ceremony is on August 27, and Tyne starts competing the next day.
The Scottburgh Lifesaving Club recently hosted a small send-off party for the athlete and wishes him well on this incredible journey.
