The time has finally come for the Scottburgh Half Marathon and 10km event.

This highly anticipated marathon will be held at the Scottburgh Golf Club this Sunday (12th) from 05:30 (for both the 21km and 10km).

Entries are limited to 900 people, and there will be goodie bags and medals for all finishers.

There will be some great prizes up for grabs as well.

Experience the stunning Scottburgh scenery, push your limits and enjoy the camaraderie of the local running community through this annual event.

There are several rules and regulations to abide by, so visit the Scottburgh Athletic Club’s Facebook page for more information.

Register via eventtiming.co.za or call 073 2440361 to find out more. Online entries close on January 11.

Scottburgh Athletic Club members will be helping out on the day, so they are unable to participate.

To still get in on some action, they had a fun Helpers Run in Scottburgh last weekend.

The club would also like to notify the local community that commentary for this event will begin at 05:30.

Several roads will be affected, including Bermuda Way, Allen Street, Williamson Street, Cordiner Street, Scott Street, George Crookes Street, Rozel Road and the R102 (Scottburgh towards Umkomaas).

Motorists are reminded to be mindful of the runners and drive cautiously in these areas.
