Morris, Sbu drive to Creston golf day victory
There's been quite a bit on the go at the club.
Creston College held its golf day at the club last Saturday, with Sbu Ntozakhe and Morris Moodley winning on 46 points.
Runners-up were Duane Buchaya and Kishal Reddy on 44 points, counting out the father and son combination of Gareth and Cameron Olivant.
Nearest the pins were Nick Wattrus (5th), Thabane Ngcungama (8th), Darren Sparrow (14th) and Grant Peterson (17th). Nearest for two were Reydon Basson (4th) and Francois du Toit (18th).
Longest drives on the 18th were hit by Jenny Hulley (ladies) and Daryl D’Arcy (men). Longest day (but still smiling) were Jason Hiepner and Liam Powell on a score we won’t mention. Raffle winner was Stephen Herbst.
Three players carded 17 points in the Hibiscus Coast Electrical Fowl Friday last week, namely Gevan Jack, Gavin van Wyk and Cameron Olivant.
Allan Rowley had 16 points, and Basil King 14 points.
The Race to Royal Portrush qualifiers, played last Friday, were Gevan Jack and Theo van Rooyen.
Wednesday’s competition was rained out.
