VILLAGE
Winning the Wakefield Estate Agents St Patrick’s Day competition on March 17 were Trevor Heywood, Louis Heystek and Mervyn Barratt.
Runners-up were Norman Davies, André Lourens and Elsa Lourens.
First session went to Manny Rodrigues, Chris Allen and Bill Eccles.
Second session went to Clive Cowan, Winston van Greune and Linda Watmough.
Winning the Spec-Savers open trips held on March 20 were Anthony Card, Colin Gourlie and Amelia Pieterse.
Runners-up were Tiens Zietsmann, Bertha Lane and Kobie Richie.
First session winners were:- Amanda Visser, Johan Visser and Jo Wells.
Second session winners were:- Manny Rodrigues, Louis Heystek and Dave van As.
MUNSTER
The club enjoyed some St Patrick’s Day fun on March 15. The winners, namely Ingrid Blanker, Uys Kilian and Dinty Cowan, and runners-up (Gary and Jo Wells, Bruce Lund) were from Port Edward BC, and session winners (Phil and Jean Longden with Beryl Laurent) from Munster BC.
At one stage, it didn’t look like the event would happen, with rain and bad weather threatening. But the bowlers are a strong bunch, and the weather held off, resulting in a wonderful day, with bowls in the morning, followed by music and a bring and braai afterwards, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

MARGATE
The Uvongo Spar open 2-4-2 on March 19 was won by Manny Rodrigues and Bill Eccles.
Runners-up were Piet Heydeman and Steve Mundell. Session prize went to Johan du Preez and Jeanne Gregori.
Lucky draw was won by Carol Scott.
The Ken Tonge ladies’ trips on March 21 was won by Ann Waugh, Helen Pieters and Elsa Lourens, from Juanita Fourie, Ren Smuts and Fawzia Karani.
Session prize went to Johannie Theron, Charmain van der Westhuizen and Lynne Harris, with Yvonne Bausek winning the lucky draw.
Social bowls every Sunday at 09:00. The club welcomes all visitors and non-bowlers, who can receive free coaching on request.

TWENI
Winners of the Oribi Wimpy ladies’ pairs were Lindi Samuel and Cheryl Knight.
Runners-up were Kitty Cochman and Amanda Tayler.
Session went to Tammy Gibbons and Rienie Blignaut.
The 3rd Avenue/The Meat Joint mixed fours on March 17 was won by Johan Labuschagne, Cheryl Knight, Elize Duvenage and Jayne Swanepoel.
Runners-up were Dick Eltringham, Derick Celliers, Jing Wu Eltringham and Peter Anderson.
Session prize went to Dumisani Madlala, Mari Strauss, Trudy Rush and Vernon Strauss.
Winners of the Harbourview Superspar mixed were Dick and Jing Eltringham, from Peter Storm and Darlene Ferreira.
Session went to Tammy Gibbons and Frik van Rensburg.

KBA
The Kingfisher Bowling Association novice singles were held last weekend, with more than 80 entries.
If it was your first, see you next year – and if it was your last (as a novice), good bowling as you continue on in this wonderful sport.
Winners were Grant Nevett (Port Shepstone CC) and Marlene Collett (Southbroom).
Runners-up were Paul Ekermans (Southbroom) and Monica Campbell – Southbroom.
Third place went to Jason Knott (The Bell) and Neil Wevell (Scottburgh), Alletta Bennett (Umtentweni) and Claire Pedersen (Sezela).
