Scotties runners shine at Hippo marathon

The South32 Hippo Marathon, a Comrades qualifier, was hosted at the Zululand Multi Sport Club in Richards Bay earlier this month.

It was nothing but cool and rainy conditions for participants.

Distances included 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km races.

Scottburgh Athletic Club members were spotted at the marathon and produced great results.

Congratulations to Scotties’ Amanda van Jaarsveld, who finished the 42.2km in a time of 04:00:40.924 in the 40 – 49F category.

Well done to Nduku Mbuyazi, who also participated in the 42km. He finished in 04:02:59.525 in the 50 – 59M category.
