Marvellous Mavundla strikes at Southbroom

It was one of the best rounds of his life.

The Nashua Oasis Business Day last Friday was played as an alliance with two scores to count and three on the par threes.

Winners were Wonderboy Nxumalo, Rob Mavundla (who shot a stunning 65 with front nine of 30), Sidney Shingane and Cody Dry on 100 points.

Runners-up were Schalk Oosthuizen, Cobus Oosthuizen, Jaco Smith and Ed Roux on 99 points.

In third place were Piet Fourie, George Nagel, Werner de Beer and Johan Neethling on 96 points.

Saturday’s Easter Alliance was won on 87 points by James Carlsen, Johan Wentzel, Kevin Feinberg and Derek James on 87 points.

In second place were Chris Ledden, Jo Ledden, Darran Ledden and Linda Ledden on 83 points.

Third place went to Ken Owen, Lindsay Owen, Cam Owen and Tom Owen on 80 points.

The previous Wednesday’s competition was rained out.
