Choc runners raise funds to fight cancer

Deborah Berridge deserves credit for the work she does.

It was in aid of fundraising for the fight against childhood cancer.

Organiser Deborah Berridge started proceedings with a prayer, and then the runners, walkers and cyclists set off along Lilliecrona Boulevard.

They could do the 5km circuit, or as much of it as they were comfortable with, or for the braver and/or fitter, do two laps.

Entry fee was a donation, and 106 people took part on the day, raising R3 915.
