Younger people encouraged to join walk
It's a fantastic way to see the coastline on foot.
The Shoreline Challenge is an annual South Coast community event organised by the Mzimkhulu Honorary Officers.
The challenge is to walk from Oslo Beach to Port Edward, along the beach (for most of the way).
It is broken down into eight different walks of between 5km to 7km held on the Sunday closest to the spring tides, over the course of four months from May to August.
Mzimkhulu HOs are partnering with Boogie Babes and National Sea Rescue Institute during this year’s Shoreline Challenge. Boogie Babes will join the walks and focus on beach clean-ups.
Registration and coffee is at 07.30. Walks start at 08:00.
To book your place in the 2025 Shoreline Challenge, or for more information, contact Maxine on 071 5176408.
