Fishermen reported some good shad catches at The Block in Port Shepstone, Uvongo Pier and Margate Pier last week.
Although there were huge sea swells on Sunday, anglers said they are looking forward to a great week ahead.
Stompie Koekemoer from KZN Fishing Guides said the sea is looking good and fishermen can look forward to better fishing.

“Shad is starting to bite. Anglers have also reported salmon catches at a few spots. The sardines are still far away, hopefully, they do arrive soon, but there is still time. Boats are also going out and are doing great on bottom fishing, so guys get your tackle sorted.”
