CMCA cricketers to defend Winter Festival title

The championship division will comprise six teams.

Nine teams in two divisions will contest the second edition of the U13 South Coast Junior Winter Festival, which was such a huge success last year.

It will start on June 30 and finish on July 5, so it’s a faster, more tightly packed schedule than last year.

The premier division will see South Coast Snipers, RC Challengers and CMCA (Clinton Moodley Cricket Academy) play each other twice.

Defending champions are CMCA, who triumphed in dramatic fashion against the Snipers last year.

The championship division will comprise six teams, namely Port Shepstone Hub, Margate Spartans, Sluipskutters, RC Chargers and new teams CMCA Jaguars and Nizanebaaz.

The venues are Port Shepstone Country Club, Port Shepstone borough grounds, Margate Primary, Jai Hind Primary and Southcity.

Since the initial tournament last year, there has been a Summer Festival, won by Snipers, and an Autumn Festival, won by RC Challengers.

So, the stage is set for an exciting event.
