Eddie Geffen won the Frank Eyles trophy at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday on 40 points, aided by the countout, which saw Andries Brewis have to settle for second place.

Mike Downie had the best score of the day, 42 points, but was not part of the trophy competition.
Werner Duggan and Glen Usher had 38 points, with Derek Oelofse next on 37 points and Neill Crossey on 36 points.
The ladies played for the Adamson trophy last Saturday, which was won by Jeanne Powell on 39 points.
Runner-up was Michelle van der Hoek on 38 points, followed by Jill O’Callaghan and Louise Leal on 34 points.
The Wednesday competition, medal section, was won by Jolanda Pieterse on nett 69, with Cynthia Daniels next on nett 71.
Stableford winner was Sharon Turnbull-Jackson on 35 points, followed by Louise Leal and Allyson Thomas on 33 points.
The men’s medal winner was Bob Carmichael on nett 67.
Stableford winner was Grant Morris on 39 points, with Derek Oelofse and Martin Hutton next on 38 points.
Malcolm Greenland was next on 37 points, with Bruce Matthew fifth on 36 points.
Chicken Run: Rhett Buttler 21 points, Glen Usher 20 points, Danie Schutte 20 points.
