Swing for youth golf day

Partner with Youth In Action to build a brighter future for young people.

Youth In Action, a registered non-profit organisation in Port Shepstone is dedicated to empowering young people under the age of 23, particularly those from disadvantaged communities.

The organisation is hosting a fundraising golf day and awareness event at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday, August 2, from 09:00.

The golf day is not just about sport, it’s an opportunity to create real change and to demonstrate corporate social responsibility in action.

Golf day co-ordinator, Paul Geoffery said the organisation’s mission is to uplift and develop the next generation of leaders on the South Coast.

“Every Friday evening, Youth In Action teams welcome around 100 children to a safe space where they are mentored, inspired and encouraged. Through various empowerment sessions we provide them with a sense of purpose and belonging. The challenges the youth face include poverty, broken families and social ills that leave them vulnerable,” said Geoffery.

The organisation has been running successfully for several years and is both meaningful and measurable. They provide refreshments each Friday, ensuring that the physical needs of the youth are met alongside emotional and social support.

The organisation is inviting businesses and golfers to support the event. For further information on the golf day, contact Paul Geoffery on 065 3637457.
