KINGFISHER
The finals of the KBA men’s and women’s pairs were played at The Bell last weekend.
It was a day of fantastic bowls and all involved can be proud of their performances.
Men’s winners were Terrence Mc Glynn and Timothy Woolley (Riverside), with Albert Munnik and Bruce Hoyer (Hibberdene) the runners-up.
Tied for third were Ashley Jacobs and Colin Edwards (Scottburgh) and Glenn Hatfield and Tony Waters (Southbroom).
In the women’s section, winners were Stephanie Podmore and Marie Gouws (Widenham), with Linda Maynardt-Hudson and Annetjie Kidd (AMBC) in second place.
Tied for third were Eileen Burt and Helen Proctor (Southbroom) and Pam Cole-Cook and Jessica Henderson (Banner’s Rest).

MARGATE
The JL Panelbeaters sponsored open trips on September 12 was won by Yvonne Bausek, Ken Tonge and Heidi Bracegirdle.
Runners-up were Mike Prinsloo, Roy Deakins and Gerry Davey.
Session winners were Seb van Rensburg, Steve Blundell and Rodney Botha.
Lucky draw was won by Bill Eccles.
The club extends a warm welcome to any beginner bowlers and visitors to join them on a Sunday morning at 08:00 for 09:00 to familiarise themselves with this wonderful game.
The only prerequisite would be flat-soled shoes or sandals with straps around the heels.
TWENI
Winners of the Astron Energy Umtentweni mixed trips on September 8 were Marco Pallini, Glenda Snyman and Alan Wilkins.
Runners-up were Tammy Gibbons, Rienie Blignaut and Frik van Rensburg.
Session prize went to Dumisani Madlala, Mari Strauss and Vernon Strauss.
The 3rd Avenue/The Meat Joint mixed fours on September 15 was won by John Graham, Rodney Marshall, Sue Foord and Alan Wilkins.
Runners-up were Kevin Mullen, Peter von Brandis, Lyn Harris and Laraine Harris.
Session prize went to Brian Mertz, Gawie Gordon, Melinda Gordon and Ronel Mertz.
VILLAGE
Winning the Hibiscus Insurance Brokers open trips September 9 were Tiens Zietsman, Bill Stevens and Kobie Richie.
Runners-up were Chris Allen, Mel Glover and Winston van Greune.
First session winners were Ali Mitchell, Ann Waugh and Heidi Bracegirdle.
Second session winners were Dora Vosloo, Theo Vorster and Alan Tyers.
