Junior boxing showdown

The tournament promises a full day of thrilling bouts, showcasing the next generation of boxing champions.

Some of the South Coast’s brightest young talents are getting ready to step into the ring this weekend.

The SANABO KZN Olympic Style Boxing Organisation’s Provincial Championship for cadets and juniors will take place at Umzimkhulu TVET College in the Harry Gwala District this Saturday (27th) . Doors open from 07:00 to 22:00, and entry is free.

Box360 Boxing Academy from Margate will be proudly represented by Ethan Naidoo, Thabang Molope, Zian Sukkels, Neveah Hammond and Luke Smith.
Supporting them from the front row will be Ugu District coach Jordan Peace with assistant coaches Ncedisile Zide and Jessica Pretorius.

Head coach Roland van Rooyen praised the team’s hard work and spirit.

“These youngsters have worked incredibly hard, and now it’s their chance to shine. We’re going into this championship with energy, focus and the belief that our boxers can stand tall against the best in the province.”
