Reunion rocks Sheppie High’s Class of ’82
The 35th reunion is planned for 2017 and most overseas classmates have promised to attend.
PORT Shepstone High’s ‘Class of 1982’ held a fun, well-attended reunion last weekend at Gracelands Lodge in Ramsgate. Some of the 23 classmates who attended have been friends since starting school at Margate Primary right through to matric.
Tish Charlton has managed to get most classmates reconnected since starting a facebook page in April this year, with the exception of about 20. Classmates who could not attend because they live abroad or had prior commitments were afforded the opportunity to closely follow the event via facebook.
This particular event was the 32-year reunion and plans have already commenced for the 35th reunion in 2017, which most classmates who reside overseas have promised to attend.
Sadly, nine classmates have died and a ‘tree of remembrance’ was erected in their honour at the reunion. A heartfelt gesture that was deeply appreciated by all friends and family.
