Guests enjoy musical journey

IRISH entertainer Dave Monks had his audience shouting for more at a rousing evening of hits at his acclaimed one-man show ‘Shamrocks and 60s’ at Mbango Valley last Wednesday.

Dave is an extremely versatile musician and the folksy feel of his shows is accentuated by his mastery of the fiddle, banjo, guitar, harmonica and tin whistle.

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he brought authentic Irish humour and charm to his performance. Guests clapped their hands and stamped their feet to the wonderful music of this polished entertainer as he transported them back in time, all the way to the swinging 60s with songs of The Beatles, Sonny and Cher, Cliff Richard, The Monkees and the Bee Gees.
