It was music to their ears
It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
THE Ramsgate Lions’ Community Hall was used for a very special local event last Sunday. Guests filled the hall for the Ramsgate Lions’ concert of light classical music in various instrumental combinations.
Organiser Robin Ransome said that for the last 10 years she hosted two concerts a year at her home in Ramsgate featuring a number of gifted local amateur musicians.
“With the success of the Lions’ Community Hall project, I decided to use the hall as a venue for these concerts. There were about 60 people who thoroughly enjoyed the music from baroque to modern. We were happy to contribute the proceeds to the upkeep of the Ramsgate Lions’ Hall and hope to repeat the event next year,” said Mrs Ransome.
