A TOTAL of 42 winners walked away with awards at the South Coast Herald’s Best of South Coast 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards.
The theme for the evening was a ‘Royal Night Out’ and emcee Bevis ‘The King’ Fairbrother (the Herald manager) dressed the part, entertaining as only he can.
This year the votes increased by 37 percent and totalled around 27 000. These were audited by independent auditor Chantel Elliott.
There were three new categories this year. Categories concentrated mainly on businesses between Hibberdene and Port Edward.
Voters took the time to complete entry forms, both in newsprint and online.
Fifteen of the 42 winners won their category for the first time.
A quarter of the winner have clinched a win for the fourth consecutive year.
