HOW many oceans are there in the world?
Historically, there are four named oceans:
1.Atlantic
2. Pacific
3. Indian
4. Arctic
However, most countries, including the United States, now recognise the Southern (Antarctic) as the fifth ocean.
The Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian are known as the three major oceans.
