Nippers open day kicks off season

The old bullet Gary Barber is back and will be responsible for nippers this season.

WINKLESPRUIT Surf Lifesaving Club nipper season commences at Winklespruit beach with an ‘open day’ for all children between the ages of seven to 14-years.

This will take place on Sunday, 1 September starting at 8.30am. Take your friends and go see what nippers is all about. There is lots of training involved, but also lots of fun.

Another important weekend for all members is on Saturday, 7 September when the club’s awards function takes place from 6pm and on Sunday, 8 September with the AGM being held at 3pm. All members must make an effort to attend these important events and a reminder that subs must be paid by then.

The club also wishes to congratulate Gene Prato on all his paddling achievements lately, the list is too long to mention. This young man is going places on the canoeing and surf ski paddling front, and is off to Denmark soon. Dad Skye says that his best friend at the moment is his bank manager.
