Situated in the heart of Amanzimtoti, the South Coast Sun newspaper has been dishing out community news for over 50 years. The paper is distributed on a weekly basis, serving the community with local and relatable news.
The South Coast Sun is a must read for every resident in the distribution area because, not only does the paper publish relevant local news, but it is also a ‘shopping mall’ between two covers. The Sun forms part of the Caxton local newspaper group which has, through the years, set itself as one of the company’s foremost local titles.
The Sun prides itself through subscribing to the Press Code of Conduct and on its strong social media ethics to ensure readers receive well-researched, objective news which is relevant to their lives. It has shown its ability through breaking major national stories ahead of their national and daily media counterparts, such as the interview with Aiken Zondo, father of Toti bomber Andrew Zondo, some 25 years after his son was executed for the explosion which killed five people and injured 40 on 23 December 1985.
