BOOYSENS – One person was killed after being hit by a car on the M1 highway near Booysens in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon November 16.
According to Eyewitness News (EWN), “The pedestrian was trying to cross the road when the incident occurred.”
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) Spokesperson Wayne Minaar says, “Traffic was diverted off the Booysens off-ramp whilst officers cleared the accident scene which has since been cleared and motorists are allowed to travel through the M1 North as traffic is back to normal.”
