*TYB awarded Superior rating in the category of Luxury Hotels. Elaine Parr of the AA, (Quality Assured Accommodation Programme) checked into Thaba Ya Batswana as part of their assessment report on January 12 this year.
*Lusito Land paramedic speaks out. A young woman was allegedly raped on Saturday April 27 outside the Portuguese Festival, Lusito Land.
*Apparent satanic ritual not planned properly. Jeremy King, who pleaded guilty to the murder of Kirsty Theologo and entered into a plea bargain, testified on Thursday that a prayer recited by the group of friends on the hill was dreamt up by Lindon Wagner.
*Awards for proud donors. On Saturday May 4 the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) held its Egoli East Donor Awards at Gold Reef City Casino, Crown Reef Room.
*Electricity cables stolen again in Mondeor. A resident of Ormonde Drive, Mondeor contacted the CHRONICLE about electricity cables which had cut in his road.
*Tennis stars give back. Some of the starts who participated in the Soweto Men’s Open team up and gave something back to the community.
*Help is at hand for grieving youngsters. Rainbows is the largest international non-profit organisation dedicated to helping children and teens grieve and grow after loss.
*Nkosi Johnson’s 12 year memorial service. On June 1 Nkosi’s Haven will be hosting the 12th annual memorial service for Nkosi Johnson’s Haven Village from 10:00 to 17:00.
