June came with its own ups and downs, here's a look back at everything that went down.

June

*Brutal attack on elderly Linmeyer woman. A seventy-five-year-old woman was brutally attacjed in her home in Risi Street, Linmeyer on Monday May 27.

*Sewage spillage causes a stink. Oakdene residents are very unhappy about a blocked sewage pipe which has resulted in raw sewage running in the street.

*Another development proposed for Bassonia. Should residents be worried about a proposed residential development on Comaro Street, Bassonia?

*Fire destroys Bassonia home. It is often said that it sometimes takes a tragedy to bring neighbours together.

*Domestics gear up against crime. For years, domestic workers have been the first to know of the activities taking place in suburban areas but have been the last to be empowered with the knowledge to fight against the scourge of residential crime.

*Caught in the act. Two suspects who minutes before, robbed a Linmeyer home and attempted to rape the domestic worker were apprehended by security patrollers only a block away from the scene of the crime.

*Teen discovers naked dead man in stream. A nineteen-year0old was shocked by a gruesome discovery in the stream behind Mondeor Recreation Centre on June 19.
