*Miss SA visits Cotlands. Across the globe World Play Day was celebrated on Tuesday May 28; Cotlands, Turffontein enjoyed it with Miss SA Marilyn Ramos.

*Claude is Comrade King. Elated Claude Moshiywa from Ormonde was first across the finishing line of the 2013 Comrades marathon uphill from Durban.

*Polio and Measles campaign succeeded.  Volunteers working with more than 13 clinics (City of Joburg) help the fight against Polio and Measles during child month.

*Three suspects killed in shootout. Three suspected robbers were shot and killed in a shootout with the police in Trefnet Street, Ormonde on Thursday June 13.

*Inmates address gender-based violence. Medium B inmates at Johannesburg Correctional Services vowed to fight abuse of women and children at the launch of gender-based violence project on Wednesday June 19.
