Blow darts a nuisance

Parents and children must be responsible when using blow darts.

WINCHESTER HILLS – Residents in Seder Street, Winchester Hills are fed-up with blow darts blown into their yards.

“We continue to have blow darts blown or shot into our yard. We have informed Michelle Pelser and company, however the feedback that we received was that this could be the work of children fooling around or something more serious, and that we should take extra precautions. This does not bring comfort as this is a weapon and can cause serious injury and even death.

“Our dog could be the intended victim being used as target practice through the palisades by ‘naughty children’, or it is intended to disable her in order to break in. We have confirmed this with neighbours who have also picked up a vast number in some yards. My neighbour even found a dead yellow bird with one of these darts through it,” said one resident.

If anyone knows children who have a blowgun or have seen one being used especially in Seder Street, then contact JacobsW@eskom.co.za

“To the parents of these children and to the children themselves, please note that this is a dangerous weapon not a toy, and security cameras have been set up so you will be caught. Thank you to Clive, who was sent to me by Michelle Pelser, he was informative and we appreciate the assistance,” said the resident.
