Southern Baby Clinic in giving mode

The caring mothers donated tins of baby formula, baby clothes, toys, shoes, blankets, bottles and other accessories

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Caryn Pereira from Southern Baby Clinic at Mulbarton continues caring and making means to provide for babies in need.

She is a professional baby nurse at Southern Baby Clinic inside Taurus Pharmacy. She has been practicing for 21 and running the clinic for 19 years.

With her impressive experience, she formed a partnership with the mothers from her clinic to collect and donate goods to charity for a while now.

The caring mothers donated tins of baby formula, baby clothes, toys, shoes, blankets, bottles and other accessories previously. Now they have done it again; donating to Door of Hope on Thursday September 18.

Nadene Grabham, general manager at Door of Hope, said: “We are very grateful for what the moms and Caryn are doing for us. We are a non-profit organisation, we depend hugely on the public’s generous donations.”

Door of Hope appreciated what the mothers have done, because they house and care for 61 babies and most of them are prematures, making them desperate for this kind of donations from the public.

They have high medical bills, and they also accept Nun baby formula, Dischem vouchers and nappies from donors as they are in constant demand.

“I am very proud of my moms at the clinic, because many babies are in need of these items,” said a proud Sr Caryn, who also offers development exercises for the moms in her clinic. She is always receiving calls from moms who ask for assistance on how to handle babies in difficult situations.

There is no need to make appointments at her clinic, because she knows a mother cannot predict when a baby is going to be sick.

People are welcome to contact Caryn at 082 454 3639 or caryn.pereira@gmail.com and those who wish to donate for babies can take their items to Caryn’s clinic or donate directly to Door of Hoop, contact them at 011 432 8273 or www.doodofhope.co.za
