MONDEOR Sector 2 CPF Communications Officer Michelle Pelser reported a tragedy on December 13, after a resident of Mondeor was brutally killed in an attempted armed robbery.
The incident took place at about 19.42 at Denton Place, Kibler Heights in Mondeor.
“There was an attempted armed robbery. The resident entered his garage, where three men were waiting for him. He was shot five times in the lower part of his stomach,” Pelser reported.
The gravely wounded man was rushed to Baragwaneth hospital and went into the theatre at midnight, Pelser informed residents on Facebook.
The victim later died.
Concerned residents, who called for urgent intervention by SAPS, expressed condolences to the family.
