Mondeor pool hall murder case postponed for pre-trial discussions

The 19-year-old accused of fatally stabbing an 18-year-old at Ballbreakers in April 2025 is due back in court in December.

A 19-year-old is facing a murder charge after allegedly fatally stabbing another teenager (18) at Ballbreakers, a pool hall in Mondeor, on April 5, 2025.

The Booysens Magistrate’s Court heard the case on October 22.

Legal delays

The case was previously postponed for a new defence attorney to come on record.

The accused was present, and his attorney arrived late for the proceedings.

The case was set for the pre-trial stage twice before, but due to issues with the defence lawyers and court delays, the case has not made any progress since 2025.

Magistrate Vele then postponed the case to December 8 for disclosure.
