As you are aware, many animals out there do not have these comforts. That’s where the JSPCA team comes in as they are here to help the animals.
However, they need your help to assist in caring for the animals that are currently in their care.
There are 170 kennels at the Johannesburg SPCA but only 20 currently have infrared heaters. It costs approximately R2 500 per kennel to install. This includes the fixtures, globes and all the extra bits. Infrared heaters are energy efficient and cost effective.
These heaters are installed in the dogs and cats sleeping areas and are essential to keep them warm during the highveld’s cold and frosty winters.
