Ashrama celebrates its first Deepavali
The Ashrama takes this opportunity to wish all its devotees, well-wishers and supporters a most blessed Deepavali and a happy and prosperous new year to all the Gujerati speaking members of the Hindu community.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – The newly established Sri Adi Shankara Ashrama, which re-located from the AUM Farm on Golden Highway to its new spiritual base at 39 Frangipani Street in Winchester Hills, will be observing its first Deepavali Satsanga and Lakshmi Pooja on Wednesday, November 11.
The Ashrama which is supremely devoted to the life and teachings of one of India’s towering spiritual giants, Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, has rendered yeoman services to disadvantaged communities throughout the country for the past 32 years. These projects are specifically aimed at relieving the plight and suffering of the destitute through feeding schemes, winter blanket distribution projects, Deepavali grocery hamper distribution programmes and a host of other socio-humanitarian outreach projects.
Sri Swami Shivashankarananda, Sri Swami Shraddhananda Mataji as well as the officials and devotees of the Ashrama, extend an invitation to all interested members of the community to attend the Satsanga from 7:00 to 8:30.
