The Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Sizakele Nkosi–Malobane, has learned with shock at the passing away of Sgt Sharon Ralinala (44) who was shot and wounded during a shooting incident on the Golden Highway on Monday. The police officer passed on November 13 at Milpark Hospital around 14:40.

“The Province has been robbed of a selfless and dedicated member of the South African Police Service. Her passing is not in vain and it would not weaken the morale of our police force but will instead encourage them to do even more to continue to protect and serve our communities. I appeal to anyone with information to report it to the police so that we can bring the perpetrators to book and ensure that they face the full might of the law.
