A docket of murder has been opened

A MAN driving a black car was shot and killed on Sunday, January 24, in Rosettenville, on the corner of Victoria and Kruger Street.

Moffatview police station received a complaint of a shooting in progress and when they arrived at the scene they were informed by EMS members that the driver of the vehicle was deceased.

Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik said according to information received at the scene, the driver of the vehicle was shot while travelling in Victoria Street and carried on driving until his vehicle came to a stand still, hitting a palisade fence and a tree.

“A docket of murder has been opened. The motive of the murder is still under investigation,” she said.
