LISTENING: Young Hartford College learners watched the show attentively.
BIKING: The mountain bike two-day event includes a 65 km ride on day one and a 50 km ride on day two.
HIKING: For the trail runners there are three different runs taking place.
WELL DONE: MMC for City Planning Masele Madihlaba with Kiara Nirghin, the winner of the 2016 Google Science Fair competition – for inventing an absorbent polymer made from orange and avocado peels designed to retain water for crops and plants even through drought; and which is able to act as a water retainer in soil.
QUIRKY EXHIBIT: Work by Southern Africa’s foremost ceramic designers and makers will be exhibited at the UJ Art Gallery.
CERAMIC SUBSTANCE: The 2016 Corobrik National Ceramics Biennale is the most prestigious event on the ceramic calendar.
CERAMIC WORK: The work will spotlight and honour a broad spectrum of work.
CLAY COLOUR: Every type of clay work will be represented.
GIRAFFE ART: Ceramic art is fast becoming sought-after by collectors.
PRAY: Join the Prayer with Mama Fire at the JD Thomas Hall.
MEETING: People attended the ward 56 public meeting and showed their willingness to get involved in issues that affect their suburb.
