Arrested for business break-in and theft
The police gave chase and arrested one of the suspects who was jumping the fence while the second suspect was arrested at the back of the building.
TWO suspects were arrested shortly after Moffatview SAPS members received notification about a burglary in progress.
Sergeant Khathutshelo Munandi and Constable Eric Motau were patrolling the area on Monday, May 2, when they received the call about the burglary taking place in La Rochelle Road, Springfield. They proceeded to the scene and on arrival they saw two males on the roof of the house, jumping to the ground. The police gave chase and arrested one of the suspects who was jumping the fence while the second suspect was arrested at the back of the building.
Upon investigating the roof of the building the officers found that it had been cut open. They also found two buckets with an unknown substance and a copper cable.
Moffatview SAPS communication officer Constable Mikateko Bila said the two suspects were arrested for business break-in and theft.
The case is under investigation.
