Damaged wall finally repaired

“It was reported and finally the wall has been repaired,” said Ward 56 councillor Dennis Jane.

LAST year Townsview residents reported concerns regarding a damaged sound wall in North Street to the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA). A hole in the wall allowed people to climb through it.

“It was reported and finally the wall has been repaired,” said Ward 56 councillor Dennis Jane.

“JRA will shortly be embarking on resurfacing sections of roads which have been identified for poor surface condition, including North Street on the Townsview and Oakdene border, a stretch of Soutpansberg Road in Oakdene and Garden Street in Rosettenville. The resurfacing activities should be concluded before the end of June. These capital absorbing activities do not detract from JRA’s routine maintenance of potholes and storm water problems,” added Clr Jane.
