A successful joint operation in Sector Three

Two taverns were also closed as a result of non-compliance.

THE City of Johannesburg’s Environmental Health Department Region F, Booysens Police, JMPD (Region F2, By-laws and Dog Unit), Emergency Management Services and other stakeholders embarked on an operation in the Booysens Sector Three areas on Friday night, August 12.

Several buildings as well as taverns and hawking hotspots were raided. Drugs, dangerous weapons, braai equipment, drug usage paraphernalia, a remote car jamming device and over R7 000 in counterfeit R100 notes were confiscated during this operation. Two taverns were also closed as a result of non-compliance.
