Soccer league off to a good start

Essak said he saw the need to have this league in the South because there were none before.

THE new Southern Schools League for primary schools has started positively for the u.10 to u.13 soccer players.

Organiser Essak Dada, from Park Senior Primary School, said he is very excited about the prospects of the league. “Currently we have six primary schools who participated in this league – Park Senior, Theo Wassenaar, Turffontein, Tambotie, Voorbrand and Ormonde. The top goal scorer, with 13 goals, Seth Green (u.12) comes from our school,” he said.

Theo Wassenaar Primary School had two players of the tournament namely Refiloe Ntamane (u.10) and Thulani Tshabalala (u.11).

Essak said he saw the need to have this league in the South because there were none before. “We are bringing boys together and we help shape them at an early age through soccer and I must say the response had been good,” he said.
